Heaven has taken another of our classmates. The memories of Stan will stay here with us though.  Hate to hear this. One of my good friends in high school.  Surely going to be missed by all that knew him .   As Sherman Kaplan said years ago.. we are getting picked off one by one!   We will all miss you Stan.  I have good memories of Stan at Woodward.  God bless him.  George Bryson

I have been out of touch with Stan since our good times together at Woodward.  I remember enjoying his company! And, sad but true:  As Sherman Kaplan said years ago.. we are getting picked off one by one! [But isn't that somehat better than in large batch mode?]  :-)

I had been Stan frequently for the last several years.  I was seeing him every few months since he became bed ridden.   His spirits and humor never waned.  We always relived some of the great times we had.  I will surely miss him.

Stan and I were best bud's since the first day we met at Mary Dill School, in the fourth grade.  Our other best...best... best friend was Bill Randolph (May God Rest His Soul)...The three of us were always as one...we played ball everyday...we lived and died togeather...life was good back then when kids could be kids and enjoy life without too much, family oversight...We left in the morning and returned for dinner in the evening...we played baseball, swam, played ping pong, softball and never, ever, feared child or sexual preditors...could life ever return to our simple times?  Stan you were the guy that taught me how to be a man...your mom and dad taught ne how to be a gentleman, and Stan, I will love you forever.

Even though I've been gone from Cincinnati for 61 years and didn't graduate from Woodward, I still fondly remember Stan and the classes we had together, Latin especially.  He was a good friend and I still have an ID bracelet of his that he gave me when my family moved to Florida in 1957.  Jean Sauer Defrances
