David S. Kadetz, 70, passed away Saturday April 16, 2011 at his residence in Florence, KY. Mr. Kadetz was the owner and operation of Izzy's Restaurants in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. David was the past president of the Cincinnati Athletic Club. He is survived by his Wife Deanna Parobeck Kadetz, Children Becky Kadetz (Lance), Josh Kadetz (Michelle), Leah Kadetz, and Nate Kadetz, Grandchildren Skylar and Ayden Kadetz, Aunt and Uncle Bessie and Vernon Ward, Mother-In-Law Lois Parobeck, Sisters-In-Law Virginia Parobeck and Sandy Henderson, and many Cousins. David was preceded in death by his Son Zane Kadetz and Parents Izzy and Rose Kadetz.

Iz had what I called a "corned beef smile!" We all called him "Izzy" and he was so funny and took a lot of kidding quite well; he was an Icon. We will miss you Iz. God bless you.
5/18/11. TODAY I REC'D A THANK-YOU NOTE FROM IZZIE'S WIFE, DEANNA, AS FOLLOWS: ....."IT WAS NICE TO HEAR ABOUT HIS SCHOOL EXPERIENCE. DAVID'S HEALTH WAS BAD FOR MANY YEARS, PRIMARILY FROM PARKINSON'S, DIABETES (HE HAD LEG AMPUTATION 9 MONTHS AGO). HE ALSO HAD CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE, CHOLESTEROL, HYPERTENSION, ARTHRITIS. AT THE END HE WAS BED BOUND. HE DIED FROM KIDNEY FAILURE, TECHNICALLY. HE SUFFERED A LOT AND i KNOW HE'S IN A BETTER PLACE. SINCERELY, DEANNA PAROBECK KADETZ."
