FORT FAIRFIELD - Ivan L. Shapiro MD, husband of the late Joan I. (Lockhart) Shapiro RN, passed away Saturday evening, March 5, 2022, at Mercy Home, Eagle Lake, following a period of declining health. Ivan and I were friends from high school where we pulled off some crazy stuff..... who knew he was to become a thoracic surgeon! We remained friends with him and his wife Joan up to and through the 60th Reunion. May he rest in peace.
