Nancy Claire Strickler (Wilson)
I spoke with Wendi, Cyril's only child, today and she revealed to me that Cyrill had multiple brain tumors. He was misdiagnosed at first, but finally diagnosed at Stage 4 brain tumor. He lived 2 yrs, 4 months & 1 week until he died, on his wife's birthday. Today (5/2) would have been their anniversary. Wendi & her 18 yr old son moved back with mom & dad to help take care of dad.
Wendi said dad never gave up trying to do the things he was used to doing. I remember Cyril's dark curly hair and his perpetual soft gentle smile. He had a military funeral and is buried at Westchester Cemetary.

I knew Cy from Grade school through our days at Woodward. We were in the Boy Scouts and Explorers together. In that capacity we shared many trips, from Rocky Mountain Nation Park to Algonquin Provincial Park, and many more.
I am sorry to learn of his suffering.
