Thomas L. Reiber
Thomas L. Reiber passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, July 19. He was born in Cincinnati, on November 3, 1941 to Edward and Florence (Haarman) Reiber. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lynn Hammond Reiber, his children Tom, Lori Reiber and son-in-law Thomas Miller, Tim and daughter-in-law Cathryn, and grandchildren Madeline, Michael, Sydney, Olivia and Samuel. Tom was a graduate of Woodward High School and the University of Cincinnati. He spent his career working for Owens Illinois for 32 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on August 7, in Cincinnati. Details will be shared on https://www.cremationcincinnati.com

We are so sorry to hear about Tom, when we moved to Hartwell we were next door neighbors to Tom and his parents. Our parents became very good friends with one another as did Tom and I. We went to grade school and then to Woodward, our parents, with Tom and I even went on many vacations and trips together. The two families very close, them were, as they say "The Good Ole Days" Our prayers are with Lynn and family.

Condolences to Lynn and the extended Rieber Family
As we all work our way up the actuarial table it is easy to recognize where the Woodward Class of 1959 relates. As we reach then cross that 80-year marker and look back……there is so much to be thankful for…..The myriad possibilities of relationships, friendships connections and acquaintances over time become so special.
Like others from Hartwell Elementary, my early memory of Tom is his singing …far better than most of his classmates. (Speaking for myself! 😊 )
As Woodward Bulldogs who participated and/or attended many outstanding choral presentations…..we know Tom added his talents.
For the past decade or so, Debbie and I have had the good fortune to join Tom and Lynn in our local vocational school, Great Oaks, at their annual Holiday Dinner. Both Tom and Lynn were great supporters of education in their community. We were always able to cover a story or two from our Hartwell/Woodward history.

Tom was my oldest friend. we met in 1947 in Mrs.Harris'first grade class. We went through Hartwell, Woodward, Universitry of Cincinnati, both joining Beta Theta Pi Fraternity, buying Houses [unbeknownest to each other] 4 doors apart. Our kids grew up with each other and we had 70 plus years of friendship. Spending many years, after retirement, together in our time shares in Cocoa Beach Fla. In the same resort community. There is a hole in my heart for Tom's abscence. He fought a good fight but had too many battles at one time to overcome them. He is in a better place and I hope to see him when my time is up.
