Jerry was always active in our class reunions and "birthday" parties. My wife and I sat alongside Jerry at our recent 80th birthday party and it was a wonderful evening.  I'm glad I could spend those moments with Jerry one last time.

At the risk of seeming too mawkish, it is as if so much is being whittled away bit by bit, and there is nothing that can be done about it. Life is what it is, and I suppose the best that can be hoped for is to accept death and loss as part of Life. Rest well, Jerry....

Jerry was such a doll. He was always fun to listen him talk about his recent woes of "loud music" wafting across the street . He had no use for it coming from Slatts across from his new abode in Blue Ash. We all, at the table, we're giving him advice on how to cope or how to change the situation. Suggestions from cotton in his ears to a bullhorn.  He laughed. Jerry was fun. We will always miss him.

I agree with Sherman about things be whittled away with the loss of Jerry. When I think back to coming to Cincinnati in the 3rd grade from TN/ARK and meeting all my new schoolmates I can't help but smile of the great times we had and the special times we still have now. Enjoy each other.

It just doesn't seem possible that Jerry is gone.  We were always planning a golf outing and lunch.  I wish I could have been more aggressive.  I always enjoyed being around him 🥲

Jerry was one of my closest friends when we were in elementary school. Our parents were friends and both families bought homes a block apart in Roselawn.  From K through 3rd grade, Jerry and I were bussed to Bond Hill elementary. Then, from 4 to 6th grade we walked or biked to the new Roselawn Elementary school. Jerry taught me how to ride a two-wheeled bicycle. We then entered the brand new Jr/Sr Woodward High School. I have many fond memories of an extraordinary friend. I'm happy we could spend some time together in 2019 during our classes' 60th anniversary celebration. I'm happy to be able to call Jerry one of my very special friends. Henry Gertzman

Jerry and I met in 1953 in our brand-new Home Room “Number 138” in that brand- new building the New Woodward School. Neither of us ever forgot that meeting and have stayed connected for 69 years.....hope my math is correct.

Jerry was always smiling and offering to help. Last summer Debbie and  I were enjoying an evening meal on the patio of Stone Creek when we spotted Jerry.

He finished his meal and joined us for an hour or so……..He loved our 1959 Woodward Class and was a great member of the 1959 Woodward Steering Committee that we formed in 1998.

Jerry RIP…….We will all miss you greatly.

I always appreciated talking to Jerry at our class events.  I did not know him when we were at Woodward but I am sorry that I didn't.  It is a pretty good measure of a person when they have so many wonderful comments in this "In Memory" part of the class website.
