Paul received the Oak Leaf Cluster from the Air Force for combat. Paul was buried in Bufford, S.C. This information was given to me by Paul's brother, Roy Havlin.

Paul Havlin, 66, died Saturday, December 16, 2006 at Candler Hospital. The Cincinnati, OH native retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years having served in Vietnam and spent 7 years in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. He retired from Flight Safety International after 23 years and was a member of the Summerville Masonic Lodge, 32 Degree Mason, the Alee Temple Shriners, and the Scottish Rite. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter W. Havlin and Luella Koch Havlin. Survivors include his wife of 44 1/2 years, Margie J. Havlin of Guyton; daughter and son-in-law, Penny and Kelly Burris of Charleston, SC; son and daughter-in-law, Paul, II and Miranda Havlin of Guyton; 5 grandchildren, Benjamin Burris, Sarah Burris, Abigail Havlin, Harrison Havlin, and Grayson Havlin; brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Betty Havlin of Cincinnati, OH; and brother-in-law and sister -in-law, John C. and Janice Harrison of Wichita, KS. He was buried in Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort, SC
