RAYJULY 6, 2015. RAY'S GRAVESIDE SERVICE WILL BE AT 2:00 PM TODAY..  See also The Cincinnati Enquirer obituary and great photo (probably taken recently at Ashliegh's wedding)broken heart  Ray was widowed and survived by daughters Aimee Alexander, Ashliegh (was recently married & i don't know her name)and son Jaimie, two grandchildren, several kitties and one dog. Ray was a CPA and lived in his same home for many years.  I never knew Ray in high school, but since our 50th Reunion we frequently talked on the telephone about many many different subjects. Ray still sharp and had a memory like a trap.  He was always very interested in news of classmates.  I will really miss talking to Ray on the phone; he always made me laugh.  More later with input from Ray's kids.  SEE MANY WONDERFUL PICTURES OF RAY 7 FAMILY FOLLOWING THIS OBITUARY.

Heads up. Ray died from a Pulmonary Embolism which could have been prevented by taking blood thinner, according to my doctor and pharmacist. I have passed this on to Aimee.  Ray fired doctors right and left and took good care of himself, which is why I guestion if he should have been on blood thinner and wasn't  (EDIT: Since this I talked with Karen, Ray's long-time friend, and she said Ray was on blood thinner for years.). Blood Clots can be deadly, so I suggest taking blood thinner (coumarin, warfarin, etc.) daily. it requires a prescription and is very inexpensive.  take the old-fashioned kind; it requires testing to be sure it is in the right range.

I have sent flowers from myself as well as classmates of  Woodward.

Ray was the shortest boy in class and could have easily been "bullied", but wasn't. Instead, he was a great tease!  Ray's recommendations: only watch funny tv shows.  Ray said his favorite spiritual-news program is The 700 Club Pat Robertson (the dad); Gordon Robertson is his son., which I now watch Pat every day).  Reports truthful news...Update: Ray had one brother, Norman, who is mentally retarded and in care of the State and lives with a caretaker in Mt. Healthy.  Ray's friend told me that Ray and his brother were abused by their father.  Ray had a master's in art, but didn't have the opportunity to apply it to a profession.  She said he very much disliked his lifetime work as a CPA.

I was very sorry to hear about Ray's passing.  We were friends back in high school days and he always enjoyed being in Florida.   When I was around 15, my Family and I went to Miami Beach on vacation for a week and I told Ray we were coming down there so we were able to get together for a fun time during a day there with swimming in the ocean and having lunch somewhere.    Rest in Peace Ray and my sympathy goes out to your Family.        Howie .
