Got a couple of questions via E-mail and this might be the best way to respond.
Suggested Hotel: Millennium downtown Cincinnati Ginny Roberts Childers has got us a great rate.......I think it is $89 and we will get the details on the Site in a couple of weeks. They have a block of rooms reserved for us.
I would love to get some pictures of Founder's Day and previous reunions. Let me know if you have some or just sent them as an attachment.
Golf Outing.........Jerry Horowitz has got us set up and we will begin to solicit players. It will be Friday IS.
Things are progressing well and we now have 41% activated on the Site and we get additions everyday.
Keep the momentum building.

A Good Monday Afternoon To All,
Just a quick update…………..All is looking good for Reunion Weekend. The Steering Committee is working on a few final details, good logistics, and cost verification for the various events.
We want to make it great value for all and easy to return to Cincinnati. It looks like we have about 150 Classmates who said they are coming and with spouses or significant others we will be well over 200. (My estimate)
Dave Lepof, after his great performance in 1999, has returned as our 50th Reunion Treasurer. In the next few weeks we will need to verify head counts and begin to get our money into Dave. We will give you specific instructions.
The most critical head count will be for Moonlite Gardens where we will need to commit to payment for food and drinks. All will be inclusive of the ticket price and we think it is going to be a very special evening.
Some of you have expressed your interest in the Golf Outing like Kay and Mike, Gary Karnal and we will be rounding up all who are interested. I think we had 20 Players in 1999 and Jerry Horwitz has reserved enough tee times this year for 40. Peter Leeds and Jerry are collaborating on the organization.
We now have 52% of the Class who have activated on the Web Site and if my math is correct we already have about 70% of that group planning on attending. Not bad for 50 Years later !
Over the Weekend we looked at the database and determined that we have about 48 Classmates that we have not been able to find. We will keep trying and ask all to help in the Round Up.
The Web Site is easy to use and maintain. We are hoping all will find a way to activate their profile. That moves them from Missing to Active.
I have tried to answer questions as they have been submitted and promise to keep everyone informed via the Web Site and USP mail/phone where needed.
I have promised a few that I will get a FAQ’s posted on the Site. I will not let you down…...just a matter of time.
All the best to each of you…………this is fun and I hope you are excited about the Weekend !

Just learned about the website from my friend of over 50 years, Marcie Green...this is very exciting. Obviously, there has been a lot of excellent preparation for the upcoming 50th reunion. Any idea how those who might be coming from out of town can arrange for transporation to the various events?

A Good Saturday Evening to All,
We have had a couple of requests on the Transportation Schedule and promise it will be published next week.
Since we have about 30 Rooms in the Millennium Hotel, I imagine that the hotel will be our central hub.
We will do our best to accommodate all wishes and we have a bus for the entire day on September 12th.

Jerry Burton our 1959 classmate sucks!!!!! He won't come to the reunion because what could he possibly talk about to people he hasn't seen in decades. Why should he come to have bad food, music he didn't like, girls he didn't date in school. Why??? Because it is memories. Important memories of classrooms, hallways, lockers, sports, fraternities and sororities... Its about hay rides, dances in the lunchroom, parties at houses. Its about the cars and who was in them, Frischs Big Boy, Cin. chili and White Castle. Its about the development of what we are today and the people that helped our social behavior at the beginning of adulthood. So don't show up ,my best friend in high school. I'll miss you there and so will a couple of others. But for the 148 people that can't wait to see each other it is a blessing to be together again. Memories were made in 1959 and memories will be remembered and made in 2009. Chico

Wed. and I just got back. No... I didn't want to leave. What memories in the tour of Woodward. What a great reunion. Thanks Richter, Thornton, and the rest of you. It was fun right up till midnite. Some of you are in poorer health that others. Stay well... see you at the 60th. I love each and every one of you for taking the time, spending the money, traveling a great distance and most of all caring about the memories. God bless you Larry Cornett for coming to see all of us. Yes, we do care!!.. What a time and I will never forget It..... Chico

It's Wednesday afternoon and I'm not sure I've recovered yet. Slept for over 10 hours my first night back home. The Steering Committee did a mega, mega fantastic job in planning and pulling off this 3 day reunion. I'm ultra impressed at how many graduates they found after this many years. I haven't been back to Cincy (from Minnesota) for many, many years - I'm so glad I had the opportunity to see Woodward one last time, and the tour of the city was like going way back to a different life. Needless to say, I had a great time at each and every event. Donna Ritzi

Wow! What a group. It appears all the exceptional efforts of the Committee, resulted in a huge, successful, 50th.
Thank you Carla (Sue) for sending out the photographs so quickly. I was
so excited when I saw all those wonderful, familiar faces, having a terrific
time.
So sorry that Jay and I were unable to be there. Had looked forward to
seeing everyone, visiting all the Cincinnati places, especially seeing Moonlight Gardens and of course, Woodward.
We can't control what life sends our way, illness caused me to miss this wonderful event. My thoughts were with you, so glad the evening was beautiful, even the weather was great.
Hopefully, some of you will share some of your photographs with those of us who could not be there. Seeing them would be quite special.
Thanks to ALL OF YOU who worked on this event, the website is out of this world.
Have bragged about how professional it is with so many people. Amazing how many people want to copy or just read everything. OUTSTANDING JOB!
Thank you again, Look forward to continually reading updates of fellow classmates. Keep the entries coming.

Classmates and Reunion Committee:
What can I say that hasn't already been said. The weekend was perfect with the exception of Judy's broken arm. I suspect that even though she missed a portion of the evening, the retelling of her story will become legend and, in time, it will be something that deepens the memories of the evening.
The reunion went terrific thanks to the great committee that worked so hard to pull off what I think will go down as the "Greatest Reunion in Woodward" history. Moonlite was MAGICAL and no other venue by any other class did, or will ever, reach the height of success and fun that we enjoyed that night.
Thanks again to the search team (Alan. Howard, Charlie, Sheila, Elinor, Carla Sue) that did a terrific job of getting so many classmates located and notified.
Thanks to Howard and his taped music - delightful during dinner.
Thanks to Carla for her continuing History.
Thanks to Barb for her help with the photographer.
Thanks to Linda and her help with Brenda and Coney.
Thanks to Martha and Jill for the lovely decorations.
Thanks to Dick that tackled our tours and transportation and pulled it off wonderfully.
Thanks to Peter and Jerry for a great golf outing and Jerry for the Mugs.
Thanks to Judy for providing the "entertainment" at our meetings and at our functions (even though she went a little "overboard" with her dancing).
Thanks to Lynne - the scrapbook was beautiful and will serve as memories for years to come.
Thanks to Brian for locating a great photographer (seemed like he was having as much fun as we were) and for putting together the Skyline event - and wasn't that a great place to meet everyone again.
Thanks to Ginny for the Hotel and Brunch arrangements
Thanks to Bob for the Picture Name Tags
Thanks to David for the terrific registration effort and counting the bucks.
And what can we possibly say about Brenda, Moonlite, the food, the service and the people. It could not have been more magnificent, nor more appropriate! It was truly magical!
And what a pleasure it has been to work with Ken (and his better half, Debbie). We all know and appreciate the exceptional web site, the band, the continuing communication efforts, the video program, the Woodward Treasures CD, the organization of the class database and the constant vision and enthusiasm. A magnificent effort!
The committee is proud that it was able to make this the best ever event. In the end, it proved that the Class of 59 was not only the first to go through the six years at Woodward, we were also the VERY BEST!!!
If only for a brief moment in time, we were all young again and reliving some of the finest memories of our lives. And didn't we have a terrific bunch of people as we shared our young lives together. What makes us feel so good is that we were able to pull off a First Class event due to the people (our classmates and friends) that came to the events and participated so enthusiastically.
It has been my privilege to serve with you on the steering committee and for you all as classmates - and we must plan to do it again.
Gary

Appreciation and congratulations to the committee members who worked hard to give the rest of us Bulldogs a glorious 50th Homecoming. It was so good to see so many high school classmates make this reunion, and but for the hard work of the committee members, it could not have had this success.
The sharing of memories of a lifetime was so enjoyable, and the spirit of everyone certainly was beautiful even though time has taken its toll on many of us physically. We had the best of times in school and those memories fondly stay with me.
Congratulations to all classmates who were able to attend, and Gods speed to those who could not make it, and for those who have passed away, they remain part of those wonderful memories.
Untii we meet again,
Orrin Nordstrom

Last week-end was really great fun and wonderful to see so many old friends. It was great having all the old haunts included in the week-end and brought back so many fun memories.
My husband and I have been talking about the week-end ever since we came home. It was terrific seeing old friends again, we really had a wonderful class, probably the best class ever.
Thanks again to the awesome committee who worked so hard to make this all happen. I for one was very appreciative
of your efforts.

Early morning and I've been up for awhile--again. I remember in high school and all-nighter was a poker game. Now it is not HAVING to get up and sleeping through until the alarm clock goes off in the morning. At the moment the only person I remember playing with the five or six of us was Bruce Humphries.
The weather outside is frightful. Rochester has had snow every day for about ten days. No blizzard, but just 3-5 inches; enough to have to shovel and salt all the time.
I am looking forward to better weather so I can get back running on the roads again, enjoying nature's rebirth of life during the coming warmth of spring.
Be safe. Be healthy. And, check in here once and awhile. Personally, I like being able to do so.
